Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio)
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), who is still fighting allegations that he had ignored claims of sexual abuse while he served as head wrestling couch for Ohio State, officially announced on Thursday that he would run for the coveted House Speaker position currently held by Paul Ryan (R-Wisconsin).
In a two-page letter addressed to his fellow members of Congress, Jordan, a founding member of the ultra-conservative House Freedom Caucus, railed in to the current leadership of the GOP calling them “weak” and “undisciplined.” Jordan also shrugged off the idea that he had acted improperly while handling students claims of sexual abuse as head coach of Ohio State. Jordan called the charges nothing more than a partisan witch hunt.
