Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez Calls Out Lauren Boebert For Insulting Her Grandmother

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-New York) responded to Rep. Lauren Boeberts (R-Colorado) comments on government unemployment benefits she made at the conservative CPAC gathering over the weekend.

In the Twitter exchange, Cortez called out Boebert’s “Good ol conservative values.” Boebert was filmed at the conference telling the crowd, “We’re here to tell government we don’t want your benefits. We don’t want your welfare.”

The situation quickly escalated when Boebert called out Cortez for allegedly not taking care of her grandmother who lived in Puerto Rico. Cortez blamed the lack of financial support from Donald Trump following the 2017 Hurricane Maria.
