Radio Host Larry Elder Withdraws From GOP Presidential Race, Endorses Trump

Larry Elder, a radio host known for his conservative views, has withdrawn from the race for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. He declared his endorsement for former President Donald Trump – a decision he said he made after reflecting on his options and consulting with his campaign team.

Elder issued a lengthy statement, saying that he made the hard decision to put a hold on his campaign while looking at the future path ahead.

“Now that I am exiting the race, I am proud to announce my endorsement of Donald Trump for President of the United States. His leadership has been instrumental in advancing conservative, America-first principles and policies that have benefited our great nation. We must unite behind Donald Trump to beat Joe Biden and fight back against Biden’s unprecedented election interference and the left’s destruction of America,” he said.

Elder urged Republicans to support Trump in order to defeat President Joe Biden.

He expressed his hope that his campaign brought attention to important issues such as fatherlessness, crime prevention and opposition to the notion of America being a racist country.

Other prominent candidates who have ended or suspended their 2024 GOP run include Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, former Texas Rep. Will Hurd and businessman Perry Johnson, who also endorsed Trump upon his exit.

Hurd threw his support behind former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley.
