President Donald Trump attacked Columbia University for its recent study, which estimated that nearly 36,000 lives could have been saved from the pandemic if lockdowns and social distancing rules had happened one week earlier.
Trump was in an interview with Full Measure on Sunday when he was asked about the research made by the institution.
“You know It’s a disgrace what I watch from this fake news media and from some of these liberal institutions,” Trump said in response to the study. “Columbia is a liberal, disgraceful institution to write that because all the people that they cater to were months after me, they said we shouldn’t close it.”
During the interview, Trump specifically attacked Columbia again, repeating the word “disgraceful.”
