Phone records published in the House Intelligence Committee’s impeachment inquiry report outlining evidence gathered against President Donald Trump linked the ranking Republican on the committee, Devin Nunes (R-California), to Rudy Giuliani and his associate, Lev Parnas.
The records show a number of phone calls between Nunes and Giuliani in April, as well as a few communications between Nunes and Parnas.

Parnas’s lawyer, Joseph Bondy, has previously implicated Nunes in Giuliani’s efforts to pressure Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden.
The Washington Post reported that another Parnas lawyer, Edward MacMahon Jr., said that “with appropriate protections” Parnas would explain the content of the calls.
“All phone records show you is that a phone call was made,” MacMahon said. “It takes a participant in the phone call to tell you what was said.”
However, Parnas is seeking immunity from Congress which reduces the likelihood of him testifying. before testifying. Parnas was arrested and indicted on campaign finance violation charges in October.
Nunes failed to disclose his communications with Giuliani and Parnas during the House’s impeachment hearings. In an interview with Fox’s Sean Hannity, he said “it’s possible” he spoke with Parnas but he would need to “go through all my phone records.”
He added, “It seems very unlikely that I’d be taking calls from random people.”
House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff (D-California) said during a news conference on Tuesday that “the phone records show that there was considerable coordination among the parties, including the White House.”
