Trust In The Mission PAC, a committee aligned with Sen. Tim Scott (R-South Carolina) has announced a $40 million investment in fall ad reservations. This marks the largest expenditure of the 2024 presidential race so far.

The television and digital advertisements will start running on September 7 and will go through January, just as the primary debate season begins. The ads will run in the early states of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.

Scott, a lesser-known Republican candidate, is under pressure to boost his name and climb the polls. While Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) is currently second behind frontrunner Donald Trump, his decreasing numbers offer Scott a chance to take his spot.

Television time for political ads becomes increasingly expensive as more spots are purchased. Trust In The Mission is the only group that has purchased reservations post-Labor Day.

“This initial ad reservation allows us to lock in the best inventory, times and locations at the lowest cost for any outside group in the 2024 race,” told co-chair of the PAC Rob Collins to Politico. “As prices sky-rocket in the coming weeks, we will have a stable plan that will allow us to efficiently communicate our message, conduct a well-rounded campaign and better manage our cash.”

Trust In The Mission also announced its door-knocking effort in June, which includes 100 volunteers canvassing and sending digital mail to residents in the early nominating states.

The first GOP debate is scheduled for August 23. This will be a key event for the Scott campaign to gain momentum and recognition.
