Since former President Barack Obama left office in 2017, there are still some aspects of his role as president he misses. The one he doesn’t miss is the “hoopla” that the job entails.
During an interview with The Today Show’s Al Roker to promote his new Netflix documentary series, Our Great National Parks, Obama said, “there’s nothing that compares to the privilege and the honor of serving the American people in the highest office in the land.”
After his presidency, Obama said, “we’re finding that we can be really productive, contributing citizens in all kinds of other ways.” Some of these ways for Obama have been narrating and producing his new Netflix series.
Obama tweeted after the release of his documentary, that the “series takes a look at the legacy of preservation and conservation, as well as the ways we can protect our amazing wildlife and natural landscapes.”
