New York A.G.’s Report Finds Gov. Andrew Cuomo Sexually Harassed 11 Women

New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) announced Tuesday that her office has found 11 women who have made credible sexual harassment claims against Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-New York). Her report includes a surprising new revelation from a female state trooper.

“I felt completely violated,” she told investigators, according to the report. “But, you know, I’m here to do a job.”

The case had started in November 2017, when Cuomo met the trooper at an event in Triborough Bridge.

Then in January 2018, the trooper joined Cuomo’s protective services unit, despite not having at least three years of service to meet the qualification for the position.

“Just for you,” Cuomo’s senior security official said in an email, per James’ report.

The state trooper worked in Cuomo’s office for the next three years, where she says she was sexually harassed constantly.

At one point, Cuomo asked the trooper her age when she was in her late 20s at that time.

“You’re too old for me,” Cuomo replied.

At one point, Cuomo even asked her whether he could kiss her. The officer said that she didn’t know how to respond.

“I remember just freezing,” the trooper said, according to the report. “In the back of my head, I’m like, oh, how do I say no politely because in my head if I said no, he’s going to take it out on the detail. And now I’m on the bad list.” Feeling the pressure, she eventually replied, “Sure.”

“The Governor then proceeded to kiss Trooper #1 on the cheek and said something to the effect of, ‘oh, I’m not supposed to do that’ or ‘unless that’s against the rules,'” the report said.

The state trooper is one of 11 women that Cuomo allegedly sexually harassed.

Following the report, dozens of his Democratic counterparts asked Cuomo to resign, including President Joe Biden.

“I think he should resign,” Biden said.

Cuomo strongly denied the accusations at a press conference.
