Nancy Pelosi Says Trump Needs An “Intervention,” President Suggests She’s Unfit
After Donald Trump stormed out of a meeting with the Democratic congressional leaders to discuss infrastructure on May 22, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi declared, “another temper tantrum again, I pray for the President of the United States.”
In her response to Trump’s behavior, Pelosi further suggested that an intervention might be necessary. “I wish that his family or his administration or his staff would have an intervention for the good of the country,” Pelosi said.
Pelosi also reflected on the conversation with Trump. “Who’s in charge here? Because you agree and all of the sudden something changes. What goes on there? Who’s in charge? I don’t think any responsible assistant to the United States would advise him to do what he did yesterday,” Pelosi said.
Trump fired off a few different angry tweets in response.

I was extremely calm yesterday with my meeting with Pelosi and Schumer, knowing that they would say I was raging, which they always do, along with their partner, the Fake News Media. Well, so many stories about the meeting use the Rage narrative anyway – Fake & Corrupt Press!

“Nancy Pelosi should not be out there doing the kinds of things she is doing. She will diminish herself and her membership. She cannot put a subject with a predicate in the same sentence. What’s going on?” Ed Rollins @GreggJarrett @LouDobbs

In response to Trump’s tweets, Pelosi also tweeted one of her own.
When the “extremely stable genius” starts acting more presidential, I’ll be happy to work with him on infrastructure, trade and other issues. https://t.co/tfWVkj9CLT
