Vice President Mike Pence defended President Donald Trump‘s decision to assassinate Maj. Gen. Qassim Soleimani in a drone strike at the Baghdad International Airport in a series of tweets, which pressed a false conspiracy theory connecting the Sept. 11, 2001, Islamic terrorist attacks to Iran.

He then listed some of Soleimani’s most grotesque actions against the U.S. Pence also portrayed Soleimani as a man who had threatened American national security interests for decades.
