McCarthy Calls GOP Jan. 6 Committee Members ‘Pelosi Republicans’
On Monday, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-California) called Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyoming) and Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Illinois), “Pelosi Republicans” for their role on the January 6 Committee. This quote comes after McCarthy pulled all of his Republican picks from the committee because of clashes with Pelosi, who refused to accept two of his five choices.
Despite the controversies, the committee held its first hearing today. McCarthy has continued to take to Twitter to air out his concerns surrounding the committee.
Pelosi’s partisan committee is just a pretense for Democrats to cast political attacks. She proved that when she made the unprecedented decision to reject Republicans that were selected to serve.
