Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance has called a special grand jury in his Trump Organization probe.

The panel will decide whether to charge Trump Organization’s executives or the business  itself if criminal charges are presented.

Earlier this month, New York Attorney General Letitia James had joined Vance in the investigation. 

James has been investigating former President Donald Trump in a civil case since 2019. However, James recently notified Trump Organization executives that the probe has entered a “criminal” phase.

“We have informed the Trump Organization that our investigation into the organization is no longer purely civil in nature. We are now actively investigating the Trump Organization in a criminal capacity, along with the Manhattan DA,” James’ spokesperson said. “We have no additional comment.”

Trump on Tuesday claimed that these recent investigations are just “witch hunts.”

“This is a continuation of the greatest Witch Hunt in American history. It began the day I came down the escalator in Trump Tower, and it’s never stopped,” Trump said in a statement.
