Trump and Republican allies are now attacking him.

Vindman has reached out to the U.S. Army about personal and familial safety concerns. The U.S. Army offered to move the entire Vindman family to a military base if security concerns require it. The U.S. military continues to monitor security threats against Vindman and his family.

At the hearing, Vindman said he told his father “Dad, [that] I’m sitting here today in the U.S. Capitol talking to our elected professionals is proof that you made the right decision 40 years ago to leave the Soviet Union and come here to the United States of America in search of a better life for our family. Do not worry. I will be fine for telling the truth.”
