Former Vice President Joe Biden visited a protest site in Delaware on Sunday.
Biden’s Instagram post shows him kneeling together with a protestor and a child, wearing a mask.
“We are a nation in pain, but we must not allow this pain to destroy us. We are a nation enraged, but we cannot allow our rage to consume us. We are a nation exhausted, but we will not allow our exhaustion to defeat us,” Biden wrote under the Instagram photo.

The protests against racial police violence spread across the United States after the death of 46-year-old George Floyd, who died after the white police officer in Minneapolis pinned his neck down with a knee.
Biden has since expressed his support of the protesters and empathy with the feelings of anger and fury in a Saturday evening statement, calling the demonstrations an “utterly American response,” while saying the acts of violence were not necessary.
