Joe Biden Says He Would Beat Up Trump, President Responds: He’s ‘Mentally And Physically’ Weak

Joe Biden said he’d like to beat up Donald Trump if they were in high school together, and the president has fired back.

Trump Responds To Joe Biden’s Comments News

“Crazy Joe Biden is trying to act like a tough guy. Actually, he is weak, both mentally and physically, and yet he threatens me, for the second time, with physical assault,” Trump wrote about the former vice president on Twitter Thursday morning. He doesn’t know me, but he would go down fast and hard, crying all the way. Don’t threaten people Joe!”

Biden has decried Trump’s comments — particularly those concerning women — before. The former vice president said weeks before the 2016 election — and shortly after Trump’s infamous Access Hollywood bus tape was leaked — that several people asked him whether he wished he was facing off in a debate with the real estate mogul.

SLIDESHOW: DONALD TRUMP’S 30 CRAZIEST TWEETS

Biden said, “No, I wish we were in high school so I could take him behind the gym.”

The Democrat reiterated his comments during a speech at the University of Miami earlier this week.

“A guy who ended up becoming our national leader said, ‘I can grab a woman anywhere and she likes it,'” Biden said last Tuesday. “They asked me if I’d like to debate this gentleman, and I said ‘no.’ I said, ‘If we were in high school, I’d take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him.'”

Biden also addressed the response to the tape that Trump and several of his campaign staff used to dismiss his disturbing confessions of sexual assault: that it was simply “locker room talk.”

“I’ve been in a lot of locker rooms my whole life,” Biden continued in his speech. “I’m a pretty damn good athlete. Any guy that talked that way was usually the fattest, ugliest SOB in the room.”

Just weeks after Trump’s election victory, Biden was rumored to be running for president in 2020, although this has not been officially confirmed. Biden recently backed Conor Lamb, a 33-year-old Democrat who won a special congressional election in Pennsylvania last week.

In a subsequent tweet on Wednesday, Trump lambasted Hillary Clinton. The president mocked those who suggested her campaign apparatus and fundraising would make her an opponent impossible to defeat.

“Remember when they were saying, during the campaign, that Donald Trump is giving great speeches and drawing big crowds, but he is spending much less money and not using social media as well as Crooked Hillary’s large and highly sophisticated staff. Well, not saying that anymore!” Trump wrote.

Trump also said in a pair of tweets on Wednesday that he believes special counsel Robert Mueller should never have been appointed to lead the investigation on Russian interference in the 2016 election.

“‘Special Council is told to find crimes, wether crimes exist or not. I was opposed the the selection of Mueller to be Special Council, I still am opposed to it. I think President Trump was right when he said there never should have been a Special Council appointed because … there was no probable cause for believing that there was any crime, collusion or otherwise, or obstruction of justice!’ So stated by Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz,” Trump wrote.
