Former Vice President to Barack Obama and two-time failed Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden seems to be gearing up for another potential presidential bid in 2020 and is rumored to be considering Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas) as his running mate.
Though as of now it still remains unclear whether or not O’Rourke will be launching his own bid for the Oval Office in the coming months it’s increasingly clear voters call for a fresh, revitalizing force to sweep through Washington. Biden at 76, may not be the “revitalizing force” voters are looking for with the some reporting that Biden himself is wondering whether he’s too old for a third presidential run.
Though an early Iowa caucus poll, the first of the 2020 primary season, had Biden as the preferred candidate of choice with 32 percent of Iowa Democrats favoring the former Vice President, compared to 19 percent garnered by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) and O’Rourke who just narrowly made double-digits at 11 percent.
As of yet, O’Rourke has not decided whether or not he will be mounting his own bid for the White House come 2020.
