Jerry Falwell Jr. Says 2020 Elections Will Be ‘Hiroshima And Nagasaki’ For Democrats

Prominent evangelical leader and Trump loyalist Jerry Falwell Jr. predicted that the Democrats will be crushed in 2020, making a crude comparison to “Hiroshima and Nagasaki.”

“The impeachment by the Democrats was their Pearl Harbor,” he tweeted Friday. “I told the crowd at the Palm Beach GOP Christmas/Hanukkah party tonight that I predict the 2020 election will be Hiroshima and Nagasaki for the Dems!”

Falwell is a staunch defender of President Donald Trump and joined nearly 200 other evangelical leaders in signing a letter supporting the president’s actions, after Christianity Today published an op-ed calling for Trump’s removal.

He also heads Liberty University in Virginia, where according to Politico, he has created a ”culture of fear” at the school, inappropriately discusses his sexuality and set up financial deals that benefit his family members.

Falwell was spotted the day after his Hiroshima and Nagasaki comments with Trump at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
