Nearly eight months after Jerry Falwell Jr. was removed as president of Liberty University, his son Trey Falwell, has also been removed as Vice President.

Liberty University spokesperson Scott Lamb said Wednesday that Trey Falwell is “no longer employed by the university,” as of “this week.”

Acting President of Liberty University, Jerry Prevo has since instructed staff and instructors to avoid contact with any Falwells and to immediately report to the university if the Falwells attempt to contact them about university business.

“Liberty University is engaged in a forensic investigation focused on the university’s operations during Jerry Falwell Jr.’s tenure,” the statement from Prevo read. “This notice is sent to preserve the integrity of the investigation and ensure that Jerry Falwell Jr. is not having any influence on the investigation or the university’s operations, directly or indirectly.”
