Jeff Sessions Chants “Lock Her Up” At High School Summit [VIDEO]

While addressing a conservative high school leadership summit, Attorney General Jeff Sessions repeated the crowd’s chant, “Lock Her Up,” echoing President Donald Trump’s rallying cry.

Throughout his speech, Sessions reprimanded universities for “coddling our youth” and “actively preventing them from scrutinizing the validity of their beliefs.” He also admonished universities for silencing young conservative voices to create a “generation of sanctimonious, sensitive, supercilious snowflakes.” The attorney general then commended those gathered for championing conservative values, to which the crowd erupted into cries of “Lock Her Up!” The phrase seemed to humor Sessions who repeated it while laughing. “I heard that a long time over the last campaign,” he added.

Trump had previously popularized the mantra during his campaign when he claimed fellow candidate Hillary Clinton belonged in jail. At the time, Clinton was under federal investigation for using a private email server while serving as secretary of state. With the president’s coaxing, Sessions did assign a federal prosecutor to look into the case. But, he still refused to formally appoint a special counsel earlier this year.
