Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are quietly distancing themselves from former President Donald Trump and his recent antics. The familial relationship is becoming increasingly strained as Trump is unwilling to let go of the past and admit he lost the 2020 election.

Ivanka and her husband were considered to be Trump’s closest family members in recent years while both served as senior advisors to the former president. They consistently went on extended stays at the former president’s home, Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach, Florida. However, recently, the couple has not been seen at any of Trump’s residences.

Sources describe Trump as incapable of being able to move on from the 2020 presidential election that he lost to now-President Joe Biden. Without any evidence, Trump continues to claim the election was stolen and advertises it any opportunity he gets.

Kushner and his wife reportedly no longer want to have to listen to Trump’s constant complaining or to be involved in his efforts to overturn the 2020 election. The couple has not shown up at any of his rallies so far this year.

The decision made by the couple to back away from Trump has been slow and calculated. They want the former president to move forward with managing his businesses because it is starting to be  deeply influenced by his political struggles. Just this week, the Trump Organization and its CFO, Allen Weisselberg, were indicted for a 15-year tax avoidance scheme.
