Michigan Republican gubernatorial candidate Tudor Dixon said that there would be no case, unless it were to protect the mother’s life, in which she thinks an abortion should be allowed.

When asked by No BS Newshour host Charlie LeDuff what her opinion would be if given the example of a 14-year-old girl who is the victim of abuse by her uncle, she responded, “Yeah, perfect example… I know people who are the product. A life is a life for me. That’s how it is.”

Dixon won the Republican primary on Tuesday in overwhelming fashion with 80 of Michigan’s 83 counties voting for her. She was boosted by a late endorsement from former President Donald Trump on Monday.

“Thank you Michigan!” she wrote in a Tweet. “We will take the fight to Gretchen Whitmer for our children, our grandparents, our business owners, and every single Michigander affected by her disastrous policies.”

Dixon will take on sitting Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) in the general election in November, where abortion is likely to be a hot topic.
