Rudolph Giuliani, the lawyer for President Donald Trump said in a contentious interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that he is convinced that his client has been “framed” by the partisan Democrats. Giuliani said that the State Department reached out to him to establish ties with Ukrainian officials and that his texts will verify that.
While in Ukraine, Giuliani was trying to build a corruption case against former Vice President Joe Biden. He was also pursuing dubious claims that Ukrainian – rather than the Russians – interfered in 2016 election.
