In a new book The Divider: Trump In The White House, Peter Baker and Susan Glasser detail General Mark Milley‘s reasons for staying in former President Donald Trump’s administration despite his strong misgivings about his suitability to be Commander-in-Chief.
In an excerpt from the book, Milley vowed to “fight from the inside” against the President’s often erratic actions.
The authors detail Milley’s action in the final days of the Trump presidency as the Commander-in-Chief’s action became increasingly unhinged as attempted to cling to power after being rejected by the voters.
Milley stated Trump was “doing great and irreparable harm” to the country.
