Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott gathered the network’s producers recently for a unusual meeting, imploring them to have better control over the hosts and guests.
According to reports, Scott told them that they would be culpable for any damaging remark said by hosts or guests on the network’s shows: “You are responsible for protecting the talent, protecting the brand,” she said.

SLIDESHOW: DONALD TRUMP’S 30 CRAZIEST TWEETS
The network has been marred by controversy in recent weeks, thanks to a series of comments made on air. Former Donald Trump campaign executive Corey Lewandowski dismissed on air an account of a young girl with Down Syndrome being separated from her mother as part of the nation’s recent crackdown on migrants crossing the U.S. border illegally. “Womp, womp,” said Lewandowski coldly.
Other comments were made by host Laura Ingraham comparing children’s immigrant detention facilities to “summer camps” and guest Ann Coulter calling the immigrant children “child actors.”
