Fox Host Brian Kilmeade ‘Stunned’ At Poll Showing 54% Of Americans Support Impeachment As Trump Attacks Network

The co-host of Fox & Friends, Brian Kilmeade, was “stunned” by the latest poll by Fox News, which showed half of Americans supporting President Donald Trump‘s impeachment and removal, because it did not fit into the narrative the network typically pushes.

The poll found that 50% of voters want Trump impeachment and removed from office, while an additional 4% of responders supporting impeachment but not removal. This was a slight uptick from October when the poll showed 49 percent favoring impeachment and removal.

The poll also showed a bump from October in Trump’s approval rating, rising from 42% to 45%, and indicating that Americans are deeply divided in their opinions about the president’s performance.

After discussing the upcoming House impeachment vote on Monday morning’s episode and claiming that some Democrats may lose their seats if they vote for impeachment, Kilmeade turned to Fox’s newest poll to back him up, believing it would show the majority of Americans opposing impeachment.

“The Fox News poll came out, and I was stunned by this, it says 50 percent of the country want the president impeached,” he exclaimed. (The poll actually says 54% of the country wants Trump to be impeached, and 50% want him to be impeached and removed.)

“I was stunned to see that that’s the number,” Kilmeade added, “because I thought that things were trending away, although the president’s approval rating did tick up in the same poll, so it’s almost like a split personality.”

Trump attacked the credibility of the poll on Twitter, writing that Fox polls are “always inaccurate, are heavily weighted toward Dems.” He suggested they “get a new pollster.”
