This week, Republican lawyer Sidney Powell filed a lawsuit filled with spelling and grammar errors in her effort to overturn Georgia’s election results. Georgia election officials called the allegations the stuff of “mythos,” claiming that none of the information was accurate.
Powell filed the 1,000-page argument alleging that the election had been stolen from President Donald Trump.
In her document, mistakes included spelling “district” wrong twice within the first few lines and citing an expert witness engaged in another suit from a nonexistent Michigan county.
Powell called the filing ‘Kraken’ – it included screenshots of Facebook conversations alleging voter fraud, affidavits of ‘concerned citizens’ following ballot-carrying trucks and allegations that the state’s digital voting system had been rigged.

“Much like the mythological ‘Kraken’ monster after which Plaintiffs have named this lawsuit, their claims of election fraud and malfeasance belong more to the Kraken’s realm of mythos than they do to reality,” said the defendants, who included Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R), in a joint filing Saturday.
The suit, which was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, is the latest debacle for Powell.
Georgia election officials had responded to the 1,000-page filing made by Powell, who was once on Trump’s legal team, and Trump-allied attorney Lin Wood.
Powell also alleged in the filing that Georgia’s election officials should not have been certified pending a full investigation.
“Their claims would be extraordinary if true, but they are not,” the Georgia officials added.
