Eulogist For Iranian Gen. Qasem Soleimani Offers $80 Million Bounty For ‘Trump’s Head’

A eulogist at the Iranian Gen. Qasem Soleimani’s funeral proposed an $80 million award in exchange for President Donald Trumps death. Soleimani was killed by a U.S. drone strike in Baghdad on Friday.

The unidentified eulogist stated, “We are 80 million Iranians. If each one of us puts aside one American dollar, we will have 80 million American dollars, and we will reward anyone who brings us [Trump]’s head with that amount.”

This comes after days of mourning for the General with crowds forming along the funeral procession.  Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Hassan Rouhani were photographed praying over Soleimani’s body. His successor, Gen. Ismail Qaani, was seen crying over Gen. Soleimani’s coffin. Thousands of mourners gathered in Tehran to pay their respects to the general. Many mourners held images of the Soleimani, while others, visibly upset, called for revenge against the United States.

The Iranian government swore revenge for the attack, but no one has personally threatened Trump. Although previous news coverage from several sources concluded that this statement was sponsored by the Iranian government, there is nothing as of yet to indicate so.

The decision to assassinate Gen. Soleimani, according Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, was in an effort to deter future attacks on Americans from Iran. In a statement, the Department of Defense said, “General Soleimani was actively developing plans to attack American diplomats and service members in Iraq and throughout the region. General Soleimani and his Quds Force were responsible for the deaths of hundreds of American and coalition service members and the wounding of thousands more… General Soleimani also approved the attacks on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad that took place [last] week.”

The White House has yet to respond to the mourner’s threat directly, but Trump did threaten to destroy Iranian cultural sites if Iran retaliates.
