Eric Trump Says He Was Spat On By An Employee At A Chicago Restaurant

Eric Trump, Donald Trump‘s third child, said that he was spat on by an employee at a restaurant in Chicago on Tuesday.

While speaking the conservative news site Breitbart, the president’s son said, “It was purely a disgusting act by somebody who clearly has emotional problems.” Trump, who leads his father’s real estate business with his brother Donald Trump Jr., was in Chicago for a visit to Trump Hotel Chicago.

He then went on to blame the incident on the larger Democratic party, continuing his family’s legacy of taking every chance they had to attack the opposition. “For a party that preaches tolerance, this once again demonstrates they have very little civility. When somebody is sick enough to resort to spitting on someone, it just emphasizes a sickness and desperation and the fact that we’re winning,” he told Breitbart.

The Chicago Police Department was on the scene, as well as the United States Secret Service. It is unclear whether charges have been pressed against the employee of Aviary, an upscale cocktail bar and restaurant.

This is not the first time that an advisor to the president has been harassed while eating. Press secretary Sarah Sanders was asked to leave a Lexington, Virginia restaurant last June. Former Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was heckled by protestors when she attempted to eat a Mexican restaurant in Washington, D.C.
