Eric Trump Encourages Trump Rally Supporters To Chant ‘Lock Him Up’ About Joe Biden

Trump supporters began chanting “lock him up” after Eric Trump, the president’s son, attacked former Vice President Joe Biden during a campaign rally Thursday night in Minneapolis.

The chant is a spinoff of “lock her up,” a saying that was used by President Donald Trump and his supporters during the 2016 election to attack former democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

“How do you think Joe Biden and his… how do you think his son is feeling right now, right after embezzling a lot of money, taking a lot of money, the crookedness?” Eric Trump said. “Right, he’s not looking too good, either. Maybe ‘lock her up’ goes to ‘lock him up.'”

“I don’t know, I like ‘lock her up’ a little bit more, but thank you, that’s a good idea,” said Eric Trump in response.

The booing crowd then started chanting “lock him up,” referencing the president’s claims that Biden illegally used his political authority for his son’s business interests in Ukraine.

He continued saying, “Hey guys, we don’t need to lock him up. We’re just going to beat the hell out of all of them. We’re going to win. You know why? Because America is winning again. Because of my father, America is winning again.”

Vox journalist Aaron Rupar posted clips of the entire Trump rally on Twitter. He commented that Eric Trump’s confident statement “comes dangerously close to admitting that cajoling Ukraine to investigate the Bidens is all about politics.”
