E. Jean Carroll Mulls Suing Trump Third Time For Defamation For Comments At CNN Town Hall

E. Jean Carroll is considering suing former President Donald Trump for defamation after “vile” comments he made about her at a CNN town hall last week.

He said her past claims about being a victim of sexual assault by him were “fake” and a “made-up story.”

These comments came a day after Carroll received $5 million in damages from a federal jury in Manhattan after finding Trump guilty of sexually assaulting her in the 1990s, by calling her claim of assault “a complete con job” and a “hoax and lie” on social media.

“It’s just stupid, it’s just disgusting, vile, foul, it wounds people,” Carroll said in an interview with The New York Times. She went on to say she has been “insulted by better people.”

In the CNN town hall, Trump was asked questions about the Manhattan jury’s verdict. He called Carroll a “wack job” and said her civil trial was a “rigged deal.” He made fun of her, as well, saying, “What kind of a woman meets somebody and brings them up and within minutes you’re playing hanky-panky in a dressing room?”

This would be the third time Carroll has sued the former president.
