President Donald Trump published a series of tweets last week lambasting the late Sen. John McCain, critiquing him for “spreading the fake and totally discredited Dossier.” On Tuesday, Trump reiterated his dislike for McCain, who died last August after a long battle with brain cancer, saying he “was never a fan” of his former colleague.
Speaking at the White House along with Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, Trump maintained his criticism of the Vietnam veteran. Trump cited McCain’s 2017 vote against repealing parts of Obamacare to be “disgraceful,” adding how he was “very unhappy that [McCain] didn’t repeal and replace Obamacare.”
