The President’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., cost taxpayers nearly $100,000 during a family business trip to India, according to government records.
The report showed that Trump Jr.’s business tour across several Indian cities, including New Delhi and Mumbai, racked up a total of $97,805 in Secret Service protection. The trip, which reportedly had to do with the licensing of luxury skyscrapers in the second most populous country on Earth, took place in February.
As a member of the first family, Trump Jr is authorized to receive Secret Service protection. But given his status as one of the joint leaders of the Trump Organization, Donald Trump’s billion-dollar business empire, many wonder why the government is forced to foot the bill for his protection.
