Donald Trump Goes On Twitter Tirade Against Robert Mueller As Russia Investigation Pressure Mounts

President Donald Trump says he is aware of information regarding special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation that has not been released to the public.

In another familiar tirade posted on Twitter Thursday, President Trump targeted Mueller and his “thugs” for their “witch hunt” investigation, a rant that was preceded by three days of meetings the president had with his lawyers.

“They are screaming and shouting at people, horribly threatening them to come up with the answers they want,” the President said. “They won’t even look at all of the bad acts and crimes on the other side. A TOTAL WITCH HUNT LIKE NO OTHER IN AMERICAN HISTORY!”

The meetings were meant to work out the president’s responses to the written questions submitted to the Oval Office by Mueller’s team centered around the alleged collusion between Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and the Russian government.

In the past, similar such rants posted on the president’s Twitter have coincided with developments in the special counsel’s investigation.

Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani voiced his complaints to the Washington Post on Thursday regarding the at least two dozen questions given to the White House by the special counsel, saying that many of the questions were either “unnecessary” or “possible traps.”

“There are some that create more issues for us legally than others,” Giuliani said.

In addition to this, there has been a significant increase in activity around the special counsel’s offices in Washington in the weeks following the midterm elections.

SLIDESHOW: DONALD TRUMP’S 30 CRAZIEST TWEETS

Former Trump employees including his former fixer Michael Cohen and former campaign manager Paul Manafort paid visits to Mueller’s office this week.

Both Cohen and Manafort are facing jail time for charges levied against them by the special counsel, and have pledged their cooperation with Mueller’s investigation.

Others, including Jerome Corsi, an associate of former Trump adviser Roger Stone, and the president’s own son, Donald Trump Jr., have alluded to the fact that they may be facing indictments by Mueller for their alleged attempts to orchestrate the sabotage of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.

Trump Jr. has reportedly told his friends that he may be indicted by Mueller, with the charges likely centering around his Trump Tower meeting with a Russian lawyer with ties to the Russian government.
