Donald Trump Calls George Conway “A Stone-Cold Loser,” Kellyanne Conway Defends Trump

One of the biggest critics of President Donald Trump has been George Conway, husband of White House senior advisor Kellyanne Conway. While Trump had previously avoided calling his critic by name, Mr. Conway’s comments earlier this week challenging his mental prowess escalated their feud.

George Conway has been vocal in speaking out against Trump on Twitter, but Trump has largely avoided naming him (according to Kellyanne, this was out of courtesy for her).

However, Trump issued an overt condemnation of George on Tuesday, describing him as a “stone cold LOSER” and a “husband from hell.” He also claimed George was “jealous of his wife’s success” and bitter that he wasn’t hired by Trump. (George was among those being considered for a job in the Justice Department, but he withdrew his nomination out of his antipathy for Trump.)

George responded by quote tweeting Trump’s message, adding the caption, “You seem determined to prove my point. Good for you!”

In an interview with Politico, Kellyanne defended her boss against her husband’s sharp criticisms. “You think he shouldn’t respond when somebody, a non-medical professional accuses him of having a mental disorder? You think he should just take that sitting down?” she asked.
