Bill O’Reilly will make his return to Fox in a guest appearance on Sean Hannity‘s show on Tuesday, months after he was fired from the network.
O’Reilly was let go from Fox News in April amid sexual harassment, abuse, and racial discrimination allegations from former female co-workers. He and Fox reportedly paid the five women who came forward about $13 million in settlements.
Last week, Hannity asked O’Reilly to come on his show during an interview on his radio show. “Do you want to come back? I think you should come back,” he said. At first, O’Reilly replied in the negative, saying that he was enjoying his relaxing time at the beach. But then, a day later, the former host defended himself and said on the Today show that he “never mistreated anyone under my watch over 42 years… this was a hit job,” he said. “A political and financial hit job.”
In a statement after the Today interview with Matt Lauer, O’Reilly again attempted to minimize the news of his workplace misconduct. “There are billions of dollars of stake in business deals and they made a business decision that they could possibly prosper more without me,” he said. “It was as simple as that. It was a business decision.”

It appears O’Reilly wants to clear his name, and will appear on Hannity on Tuesday at 9 pm, the show’s new time slot. This appearance puts Fox News in an awkward position. O’Reilly has been on a recent media kick since his firing, discussing the sexual harassment controversy. He has also been promoting the latest book in his series of historical novels, Killing England, which is expected to be the focus of his chat with Hannity.
