Biden Campaign Threatens To ‘Escort’ Trump Out Of White House If He Refuses To Leave

President-elect Joe Biden officially won the election on Saturday morning, but current President Donald Trump refuses to concede. Trump’s campaign has already filed several lawsuits in Georgia, Michigan, Nevada and Pennsylvania — key swing states where Biden received more votes. Most notably, a lawsuit in Philadelphia claims that observers were not allowed to watch ballot counting,  although Trump’s lawyers admitted in court that observers had been allowed to do so.

Trump has also taken to Twitter to make claims about election fraud and question why media networks are the ones determining the result of the election. Twitter has since placed alerts on several of his tweets to warn social media users that his claims as “disputed.”

And while it is unclear whether the president will agree to permanently leave his home in the White House come Biden’s inauguration on January 20, the Biden campaign is already warning Trump that he could be escorted from the presidential residence if he refuses to leave, although Pentagon leaders strongly support an apolitical military.

In a statement, Biden spokesperson Andrew Bates said: “As we said on July 19th, the American people will decide this election.” He went on to add, “And the United States government is perfectly capable of escorting trespassers out of the White House,” in reference to President Trump.
