Considering responses must be limited to those who held office during the respondent’s lifetime, the results do significantly differ along generational lines. A majority of millennials named Obama as one of their top two, while Reagan was more popular among older generations.

Pew also noticed party differences with 71 percent of Democrats listing Obama in their top two, meanwhile only 13 percent of Republicans shared the same opinion. Instead, Republicans favored Reagan who was rated in the top two by 57 percent of Republicans followed by President Trump with 40 percent of the party’s vote.

The poll was conducted between June 5 and June 12 with a 2.6 percent error margin.
