Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minnesota) announced Monday afternoon that she would be ending her 2020 bid for president, adding an endorsement for former Vice President Joe Biden.
Klobuchar’s campaign confirmed to CNN that the senator was on her way to Dallas to join Biden at his rally, where she’s expected to suspend her campaign and endorse Biden before Super Tuesday.
This comes after Klobuchar had to cancel her own rally in Minnesota amid protests on Sunday night. The protests were in response to a case in which Myon Burrell was convicted of murder with limited evidence of an 11-year-old girl. Klobuchar at the time was serving as Hennepin County’s top attorney.

The decision comes after a sixth-place defeat in South Carolina and a decline in momentum after her performance at the New Hampshire debate. Former South Bend mayor Pete Buttigieg and billionaire Tom Steyer have also dropped out of the race following the South Carolina primaries.
