Michael Avenatti opened up publicly with his client Julie Swetnick on Wednesday regarding her testimony over Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh‘s sexual misconduct. However, some people believed Stormy Daniels‘ lawyer fell for a prank, suggesting Swetnick and her story were fictional. Avenatti has responded to those claims.
Avenatti directly tackled the rumors on Tuesday, tweeting out how he has received “multiple inquires” concerning whether he was “‘duped’ or ‘pranked’ by” a 4chan user. “This is completely false,” the attorney affirmed. “It never happened; it is a total fabrication. None of it is true. The right must be very worried. They should be.”
“This is just crazy that somebody can just tweet something out like this, or post it, and people just take it as truth,” Avenatti exclaimed to Politico. “It’s crazy.”
