Trump Uninvvited By Pennsylvania Factory He Planned To Tour Due To COVID-19 Concerns

President Donald Trump was uninvited from an event at a Pennsylvania factory due to safety concerns. Trump was scheduled to speak at Braskem, a company that produced personal protective equipment, On Friday, however, Braskem CEO Mark Nicholich postponed the event, stating that the risks involved were too big for the employees, who had previously confined themselves in the factory for 26 days to produce medical attire.

“We are deeply honored by the White House’s acknowledgment of our production resiliency teams,” he said. “However, after many discussions, the parties agreed due to the nature of petrochemical operations and the safety of our team members and visitors a visit wasn’t feasible.”

The CEO maintained that the risk of contamination was too large and decided to put off the event.

Both Trump and Vice President Mike Pence have been reluctant to wear face coverings, even after Pence’s press secretary Katie Miller tested positive for coronavirus. While Dr. Anthony Fauci has decided to undergo a preventive two-week quarantine after exposure to Miller, Trump and Pence are continuing to travel and participate in press briefings. Last Tuesday, Trump visited a Honeywell facility in Phoenix, Arizona, that produced masks on a large scale, while Pence was seen delivering personal protective equipment to a Virginia nursing home.
