Trump Trolls Mitt Romney After Senator Says Ukraine Scandal Is ‘Troubling In The Extreme’
Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) tweeted that it would be “troubling in the extreme” if reports about President Donald Trump pressuring Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky into investigating Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, in Ukraine prove to be accurate.
Previously, Trump refused to disclose any information about the telephone session. “It doesn’t matter,” said Trump last week. “The conversation I had was largely congratulatory, was largely corruption—all of the corruption taking place, was largely the fact that we don’t want our people like Vice President Biden and his son [contributing] to the corruption already in the Ukraine.”
Romney was the first Republican senator to demand additional information about the scandal.
In response to Romney’s inquiry, Trump tweeted a video of Romney’s 2012 general election loss to Barack Obama. The Twitter video also included footage of Trump’s victorious 2016 election.
