On Friday, President Donald Trump met with Michigan’s Republican legislators at the White House in his latest effort to overturn the election results in the state.
Speaker of Michigan House of Representatives Lee Chatfield, Speaker-elect Jason Wentworth and Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey attended the meeting. After the session, the lawmakers issued a statement, “we not yet been made aware of any information that would change the outcome of the election in Michigan.”
The president will invite legislators from the state of Pennsylvania, another state he hopes to get to throw out its results, next week.
Aside from inviting legislators to the White House, Trump’s attorneys Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani have held press conferences to outline a wild conspiracy theory on their unfounded election fraud claims.

When reporters asked what the meeting agenda consisted of, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany refused to disclose any further information.
“So he will be meeting later on. This is not an advocacy meeting. There will be no one from the campaign there. He routinely meets with lawmakers from all across the country,” she said.
