Trump Campaign Asks Pennsylvania Court To Overturn Election Results & Declare Trump As State’s Winner

President Donald Trump‘s legal team has filed a lawsuit in Pennsylvania court asking that the president be declared as the winner of the state and argued that the state legislature – dominated by a GOP majority – should be given the right to assign its electoral votes.

In a new claim added to the case, Trump’s attorneys asked to drop approximately 1.5 million mail-in votes because they were votes that “should not have been counted” and ultimately led to “returns indicating Biden won Pennsylvania.”

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court recently ruled against the Trump campaign’s claim of that observers did not have the opportunity to watch the vote count process closely enough.

In response to the court’s decision, Trump’s lawyers wrote, “In contrast to the 2002 International Electoral Standards… the Pennsylvania Supreme Court has struck out in a unique direction among democracies and declared that meaningful observers are not part of verification and votes may be counted without any review by political campaigns and parties.”
