Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.)
An Iraq war veteran turned 2020 Presidential candidate said that Donald Trump is not a patriot.
Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) said that Trump used his father’s connections to get a doctor to lie about his health in order to get him out of serving in the Vietnam War. In an appearance on CNN’s State of the Union, Moulton referred to Trump as “not a patriot” twice.
Trump never served in the military – instead, he obtained several deferments to avoid going to Vietnam, including using a physician’s letter stating that he suffered from bone spurs in his feet.
“He used his father’s connections to get a doctor to lie about bone spurs, so he could stay home,” Moulton said.
