On Saturday, Vice President Mike Pence‘s chief of staff Marc Short tested positive for the coronavirus.
Despite coming in contact with a close staff member who tested positive, Pence will continue to headline campaign events with only a little over a week before the November election.
Pence’s office has acknowledged that the vice president is considered a “close contact” with Short.
Pence’s press secretary Devin O’Malley announced that Pence “will maintain his schedule in accordance with the CDC guidelines for essential personnel.”
