A Ukrainian air force pilot has thanked Americans for their support in a video shot from inside the cockpit of a US-made F-16 fighter jet. The footage, posted on March 4 by Ukrainian Air Force pilot Vadim Voroshilov, shows him holding a sign that reads, “Thank you to the American people for your support” and “Stand With Ukraine,” alongside a Ukrainian and a U.S. flag and a #Stop_Russia hashtag. “Dear American people, my combat brothers, who defend Ukraine on the F-16 aircraft, convey the words of gratitude for the opportunity to effectively protect Ukrainian cities from Russian terror, to protect the people of Ukraine,” Voroshilov wrote in the caption. ”Your help is an opportunity for us to fight for our democracy. Thank you very much for your support. Together to victory!!!” The video comes after President Donald Trump on Monday paused all military aid to Ukraine – a decision that was announced after a confrontational, on-camera interaction at the White House with President Volodymyr Zelensky, during which Vice President JD Vance accused Zelensky of not being thankful enough to the Trump administration.
