Several activists staging a demonstration at a Tesla showroom in New York City were arrested by police as hundreds gathered to protest Elon Musk’s role in making cuts to the federal workforce, on Saturday. Video from Planet Over Profit, an activist group participating in the protest, showed demonstrators being detained as police officers broke up a sit-in inside the showroom. In the video, protesters can be heard chanting, “we need clean air, not another billionaire.” Saturday’s protest followed a similar demonstration at the same showroom earlier in the month, during which nine people were reportedly arrested.
