VIDEO: 250,000 Germans Protest Against Far-Right AFD Party In Munich
More than 200,000 people protested against the far-right Alternative fur Deutschland (AFD) in Munich on Monday. Footage shows protesters gathered at Munich’s Theresienwiese. Police counted around 250,000 people demonstrators. Organizers said 320,000 people took part in the demonstration. Similar protests were held across the country, with thousands taking part. Friedrich Merz’s Christian Democrat-led alliance leads the polls ahead of the Feb. 23 federal election, with 28%. The AfD is in second, expecting some 20% of the vote.
