President-elect Donald Trump met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Dec. 7, during his visit to the French capital to attend the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral.
The meeting was hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron at Elysee Palace ahead of a ceremony to celebrate the restoration of the cathedral. Macron and Trump shared an awkward 25-second handshake ahead of their meeting.
Footage posted by Margo Martin shows Trump shaking hands with Zelensky as Macron joins them for photographs.
Trump also greeted stationed U.S, Marines at the palace before going to the reopening ceremony on Saturday night.
