A shocking new poll from Gravis shows Democrat Stacey Abrams with a two point lead over Republican Brian Kemp in the Georgia governor’s race. Abrams is running to become the nation’s first black female governor. She has staked her campaign on trying to turn out the Democratic base of minorities, women and young people rather than focusing on working class whites. Georgia is one of the most rapidly diversifying states with 40% of its population non-white. Kemp has run on a far-right platform that focuses on illegal immigration.
